Manage skill versions
View skill version history, restore a previous version, and download a version.
Every published version of a skill is saved. Open the version history to view, restore, or download a previous version.
View version history
Open the skill
Go to Skills and click the skill you want.
Open version history
Click the overflow menu (...) and choose Version history.
The version list shows every published version with date, size, and entry point.
Restore a previous version
Find the version
In the version list, find the version you want.
Restore
Click the Restore icon next to that version.
Confirm
Confirm in the dialog. The selected version becomes your new draft.
The version is restored as a draft. Open the editor and publish it as a new version when you're ready.
Download a version
Click the download icon next to any version to save its content. For a single-file skill, you get a SKILL.md file. For a multi-file skill, you get a .tar.gz archive named for the skill and version.
Plan retention
How long versions are kept depends on your plan. See Plans and pricing for the full comparison.
- On the Free plan, only the latest published version is kept. Publishing replaces the previous one.
- On the Pro plan, versions are retained for 30 days.
- On the Team plan, versions are retained for 12 months.
