Author a new skill from scratch in MCP Market.
Create a skill from scratch when you don't have an existing SKILL.md to import.
Create a new skill
Open Skills
Go to Skills in the sidebar and click Add skill.
Choose Create new
Choose Create new.
Name the skill
Enter a name (max 100 characters) and an optional description (max 500 characters). The slug auto-generates from the name and shows a live preview underneath.
Create
Click Create.
Your new skill opens in the editor in edit mode, with a starter SKILL.md template ready for you to fill in.
Edit and publish
Use Save Draft to keep working without shipping changes. When you're ready to release the skill, click Publish. MCP Market runs a quick checklist (name, description, body must all be filled in, and any allowed tools must be recognized) and bumps the version when checks pass.
