Connect an MCP server

Connect a catalog MCP server to your organization using API key or OAuth authentication.

Connecting a catalog MCP server allows your organization to use its tools with AI assistants.

Before you start: you need admin or owner role to connect a server at the organization level.

Connect with API key

Browse the catalog

From MCP Servers in the sidebar, click Browse MCPs.

Select a server

Find the server you want to connect and click its card, then click Connect to open the deployment form.

Configure the deployment

Enter a name for this deployment (e.g., "Slack for Marketing").

Enter your API key

Enter your API key and click Connect to create the deployment.

The deployment is immediately available to your organization.

Connect with OAuth

Browse and select

From MCP Servers, click Browse MCPs. Find the server and click its card.

Start the deployment

Click Connect, enter a name for this deployment, and click Connect.

Authorize access

You'll be redirected to the server's authorization page to grant MCP Market access. After you approve, you're automatically redirected back to MCP Market and the deployment is set up.

Access levels

When connecting an MCP server, an admin picks its access level.

  • Global. One shared connection for everyone in the organization. The admin sets the credentials once and all members use them. Pick this for shared infrastructure, like a team Slack workspace.
  • User. Each member supplies their own credentials before they can use the server's tools. Pick this when each person should authenticate as themselves, like personal GitHub.
